‘Undressing in 1 minute’

The images are part of photographic series as documentation for performance ‘Undressing in 1 minute’. The concept of clothing as an object to protect and cover the body does not become less symbolic once it leaves the body. For the exhibition of the object relation to its site of display the body, complicates the way the object is perceived and attended to. What constitutes display of body and or the garment, especially when the display is within the realm of public showing and sharing. Through this performance the mundane daily act of dressing and undressing the exposure of the body as a site of display, made explicit, expresses how the separation between the body and the object here being clothing reveals a complex dynamic. Its purpose of covering the body also inhabits politics of identity.
